How it Began

The Council of the City of Elliot Lake envisioned a Centre to provide support, programs and structure, to assist the employees from the mall, businesses affected and the community at large in the transition forward. The Elliot Lake Centre for Development is funded by the government of Ontario.

The Elliot Lake Centre for Development continues to meet with local entrepreneurs and people looking to start a business. The East Algoma Community Futures Development Corporation has a full-time business counsellor housed at the Centre.
We would like to thank our partners at the Centre: Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities and East Algoma Community Futures Development Corporation for the financial contribution to operations and celebrate the support of the City of Elliot Lake, ELNOS, the Elliot Lake and District Chamber of Commerce, Business Sault Ste. Marie and FedNor for project and program support.
